Update October 20th, 2025
FIrst, hu sukiⱡ q̓ukni to you, whoever you are and where ever you are.
Second, my apologies for the state of limitations for knowledge and information sharing this site has become.
Some of you might be aware that I took a position teaching at a local college in 2021 that was supposed to be part time and…and, and…
Then I broke my pelvic bone while hiking in a favourite outdoor location. This meant a leave and inability to sit and my mobility was impacted.
And last year, I ended up with a fractured spine which was from the same fall, but undetected really, as my focus of pain was on my hip not my back, until I went back to teaching.
I left said position at the end of June 2025 and decided it was time to return to this work, which is my passion and a far more rewarding and transformative opportunity to share knowledge and build understanding and awareness.
And then the summer hit in full force, while I unpacked impacts to my self from ‘being institutionalized’ through post-secondary education, unions, and the like. It was an eye opener to say the least, of how far there is to go in terms of Truth and Reconciliation and related rhetoric which makes sense given what I appreciate about Ya Wu Nik–the water creature of the Ktunaxa Creation Story as it is currently told. More on that another time.
Thus, this update is my long winded way of saying, I am back to restructuring my website and adding to the content and podcast episodes. And so thank you for your kind words, and patience while we all navigate that POST-pandemic reality we are all still adjusting to, in terms of work, health and well-beingness.
